Default BOOT AND WINDSCREEN

Silly question here, I would like to know if the boot can be secured with the stock windscreen in place. I have tried to figure out how to get it done, but without tearing and sewing the boot I can't see how to do it.
Any advice please.

On the left side of the pond we need a little translation:
We thought windscreen is the front facing glass on the car
And the boot is the trunk or maybe the frunk on our cars.
In American english, it seems you are asking if the frunk can be closed and latched with the windshield glass in place. The answer is yes, but why ask the question as this is normal and the two seem unrelated?
Don't quite understand what you are trying to say, can you educate us a little more?

If think he's asking if it's possible to change the rear window in the soft top without destruction and repair of the soft top!?

Bonnet = Hood in the US, Soft top = Hood in England.

Let's hear your wild guess now!

Default windscreen

On my 1998 cab I have a windscreen, (mesh flat) blocks the wind from behind when the top is down. Boot, covers the top when its down.

Or he may be asking if the "boot" that goes over the convertible top ("hood" in Old Blighty) can be closed with the windscreen (thingy on the cab that sticks up behind the front seats to protect madam's hairdo) in place. We are, after all, one people, separated by a common language...

993 cabriolet question: Is it possible to attatch the soft top with the wind deflector still in place?

Yes, it is designed with ‘flaps’ to go around (over and under) the wind deflector mounts meeting together at a snap.

If you mean putting the top up/down with the deflector in place- yes. Wind deflector folds with the top as it operates both directions. You also have the option of zipping the deflector in the head liner (so it sits a little higher giving a touch more head room). Top still operates properly regardless if the deflector is set to pop up when the top is lowered. Or sandwiched in the head liner. Deflector has a long lateral zippered flap.

I cant believe that was such a hard question to answer. Now I'll try with the boot and see if it works?
Thanks everyone,
Mitch

I have the same question.
Q: When I put my convertible top down I also place my windscreen up in a vertical position. With my convertible top down and my windscreen up to deflect the wind, how do I install my boot?
And a seperate but related matter:
Q: After removing my boot, how is my boot to be folded.the manual provides a simple drawing but the drawing is innefective and difficult to follow.

Mine is a 96 and page 89 in the owners manual shows/describes the answer to the first question.

Second question, I dunno, sometimes it folds up and fits well in the storage bag and sometimes it doesn't.

You wrote "windscreen" and "boot" instead of "wind deflector" and "soft top" so we had a really hard time just to figure out what you meant!

Does boot mean soft hop anywhere in the world?

Thanks,
Mitch

Do You mean windscreen (front window) this time or do you mean wind deflector?
