I've never seen one on a 993 , and this explains why they aren't discussed much. Porsche really thought ahead with the size of that belt.

Make sure those hex bolts that secure the pump to the engine are torqued correctly! Whoever wrenched and replaced the belt on mine did not and the bolt fell out and shredded the belt. I ended up replacing the belt without dropping the engine which was a big PIA wrench job.
