Which models were available with the 3.8 apart from the RS?

On your side of the pond I believe all 993's were available with the 3.8 (wx51 option?) . The factory RS, RSCS,Cup, and RSR of course had it also.

Yep, As Glen says, it was an option (much better, than, let's say, sunroof...) on standard 993s.

FF, I can see us back then....hmmm 3.8 Litre motor or supple leather hmmm... Having removed everything from a car that does not make it stop, go or turn and added the 3.8 I know what my choices would have been. Had they been available here...lol

Anyone know what the WX51 (3.8) cost as an option from the factory?

Also, was it engine only, or did it include anything else like LWF, different gearing or whatever.

There was an article in 911 and Porsche world one year, guessing in 97 about a Silver C4S with a Red interior. I believe there was a picture on the cover of the car. Anyway they had done the wx51, Turbo S fender vents, lots of leather on the inside etc... and I think they broke down the costs in that article..maybe someone on the board kept that edition.
