Porsche Indie repair shop search engine
Hi All,
Just found this while searching for a shop around Downey ... seems like a great resource to have handy in your cel phone bookmarks since our cars are getting "older" (no offense dear ...). Just type in the area and it pulls up all the Porsche shops around you. Forgive if this has been posted before.

Well...
Checked for Boulder CO, does not list the best shop(Simple Auto), the top 2 I would NEVER take a Porsche of any sort to, let alone an air cooled. The top listed shops are paying for their position in the listings.
Then checked Denver, #2 Dart is a decent shop but they are very race car oriented. Again the top listed shops are paying for their position in the listing. None of the top service shops are featured, most likely because they don't need to pay the monthly fee.
On the other hand if your on a road trip and need help may get you to a decent shop.

Yeah .. that was my reasoning. If your looking for a close place to limp or tow to, this might be a life saver. If you're looking for a PPI shop .. this would be a hit/miss resource.

Right. Which is why I posted it. It has value if you get stuck somewhere and you don't know the area. When people ask me why I'm not on Rennlist anymore .. I'll send them the link to this post.

I'm sorry I've offended your sensitivities, and it reminded me of a parallel experience I just had:
Recently, a friend of mine traveling ended up in a town I used to live in, and asked for some recommendations. I pointed him to a newer restaurant I'd heard was good, but had never been to. He went, and after told me it wasn't that great.
I wasn't offended.

I'm sorry I've offended your sensitivities, and it reminded me of a parallel experience I just had:
