Help with stalling 993

Early U.S. 1995s don't have a box labeled "immobilizer" or "Bloctronic." Perhaps the terminology changed here on Rennlist over the last 15 years, because thread after thread has always said that early 95's don't have immobilizers. They do have a little "Steuergerat Alarmanlage" (alarm system control module + central locking), but I don't believe this is tied into the ignition like later immobilizers. It simply sounds an alarm if doors are opened after being locked by the key (no key fob came with these cars).

Personally, I don't believe OP's issues are related to the immobilizer (he says it doesn't have one, but even if it did, wouldn't the car be more "immobilized" than seems to be the case).
My '95 C2 was made in Dec. 1994 and does not have an immobilizer.

Mine is a 94 (july) and it does have an immobiliser incorporated in the key operatet alarm. It's a ROW car. It says in in the handbook that the car is fitted with immobiliser, maybe it was a legal requierment in Euerope but not in the US at the time?

The connection between aftermarket chip and DME was faulty. Swapped it out for an OEM chip and the problem was solved. Thanks everyone.
