Thumbs down British weather...

...really sucks.

First there was snow (in Portsmouth... that NEVER happens)

and now constant rain so my car looks worse than this:

I envy those of you with your garage queens at this time of year... but I happy that she's taken every day (recently between -3c and 16c) without so much as a hiccup.

I've promised her new wheels, suspension and a repainted front end (time and money allowing) so that may have something to do with it!

Dan..

Be careful....Did they have to plow any of that snow ?

I got the bug and took mine out earlier than I should have. Virginia got hit with snow too...they plowed.....carved out some nice potholes....and sure enough......a week after my new RoW M030/Bilstein HD install....SLAM.

Yup..I hit one of them craters....THANK THE PORSCHE GODS....but I only needed an alignment...nothing broke or bent !!

So...a word to the wise......be very very careful if she's your daily driver...hate to see those pretty wheels bent !!

Heh - nah it's never ever gonna be that bad here - there is no such thing as a plough down here in the South (I really mean that).

I think my wheels look awful anyway - I cannot wait to swap them out! Probably stock 17s for now then maybe turbo twists (18s) later.

Anybody want these BBS things?

Where were you in 82 (or was it 83) when UK got 30+ inch of snow?
The mini cooper we had at the time did great the day after the storm for the 12 mile country road drive from Caerphilly to Newport, S. Wales .... Why ? it is so light we just need to get off the car often to push it back out of the snow bank !

Ah you must have read wrong.. in Portsmouth it doth never snow. We're protected by the Southdowns (hill) and you'll know we're right on the coast too... so it's very very unusual. In my life time I've seen snow here probably 3 times, maybe 4!

hehe
