Default series resistor

What is the function of the series resistor which is on the rear blower?
What are the sypmtoms if it doesn't work?
It is PET's number: 964 616 550 02

Ataman,

the series resistor is what makes the blower fan work at two speeds, full speed and half (low) speed.

If the resitor is blown, then the fan usually cycles between on and off after a few seconds.

It is switched in series with the rear blower so this one works at half speed.

The blower will not work at half speed, only on high speed.

The resistor is 0.35 Ohm and is easy to inspect.
