today I accidentally stumbled across something interesting.
the washer of the Front Protection Bar mounting screw inside the frunk is actually causing some tiny small “damage” as it is eating into the “protection layer” of the body itself. (By the way: what material is this?)
You can see in the picture what I mean. Pretty difficult to remove the washer now and you will always see spot where the washer was...
I doubt this is really an issue, but nonetheless, I would have liked to prevent this... so I suggest to use a rubber washer instead of a metal one to anyone who does this.
...or would you be worried about rusting issues now since the protection layer is slightly harmed?
I said „interesting“ in the original post as I of course don’t think it’s a big issue, I just didn’t expect the washer to „go through“ the protection layer...
but yes, if I would have known that before I would have used a rubber washer.. firstly to prevent this and secondly to buffer any impact from the underbody when the bar hits the ground...
