KW V1 Coilovers & Speedline Alessios on My RoW Aventurine 95 Carrera 4
Did my hot keywords get your attention?! LOL... Just finally got around to tinkering with the new (to me) 993 and wanted to share a couple pics.
I recently picked up a German spec 95 993 Carrera 4 (non-sunroof, G50/21 trans, black CLOTH interior, no bumperettes, no basket handle, no 3rd brakelight, no SAI) and planned to take it down a similar road as my Iris Blue 96 Carrera 4. Yesterday my buddy came up to hang out for the day and I roped him into helping me finish the suspension install, and, while my Techart Championship Formulas are out for refinishing, I have a set of 18" Speedline Alessios with new tires I tossed on to keep me happy in the meantime.
For the sake of keeping the RoW OEM suspension all assembled and easily swapable back into the car, I decided to just get new top mounts and a few pieces of required hardware for the KW coilovers as opposed to disassembling the RoW stuff for them... and while attempting to save a few bucks on things that don't need to be Porsche branded OEM, I decided to just go with new OEM-style top mounts so I found some inexpensive aftermarket ones on eBay. The rears had a casting discrepancy with the top plate pattern but nothing a Dremel couldn't fix. Everything ended up going together pretty easily and after one height adjustment, I think I like how its sitting. Don't mind the camber in the front... I set it at the maximum because I wasn't sure how much clearance I'd have with the Speedline setup (my other wheels were 8.5" et41 and were tight with 2.3 degrees neg camber). I'm gonna have it aligned soon.
Also picked up a 964 fan shroud piece and an RS heat bypass duct.
Anyway... just hanging on the internet tonight and wanted to share. - Rich'

Yep, into Texas in 2002. Been a PCA members car a while. I bought it from a guy at Hershey last year who bought it from the PCA Classifieds and says he intended on keeping it but found another car. Either way I’m happy with what I paid for it and now I’ll do my thing with it 187k miles and looks and drives like a 40k mike car with a quality respray and 3” of paperwork. :thumb up:
