...I so much want to attend this run. My car needs a breather outside the garage. It's yearning to get out!! I am trying my best to get all my tasks done for my clients so I can attend.

This will be my first RUN with fellow rennlisters.

What is the count as of now!!

you guys are killing me.. It figures-.. I'm stuck in China of all places, I will be back in Santa Barbara the 20th, but then I have a trade show in vegas on the 21st that I don't think I'll be able to drive to, as the aforementioned thread that I had started regarding my tranny; yeah I think it's toast..... ( unless i miraculously get it fixed in time.. ) jeez.. I'm a total tool.... missing out on both a get-together in my 'hood and not being able to even do the best drive of all time (5am start to a gumball-rally type drive to vegas..) Maybe this is penance for the sick weekend I had before I left for China which included a brilliant drive up to Big Sur on 1, a stay at Deetjen's inn, A wood stove, & new carnal developments. I guess the 993 and I are still recovering-.. maybe she was a bit hard on the tranny!

Coleman.

Proposed route and estimated travel time:

Pacific Coast Hwy – Latigo Canyon Road (15 MINUTES)–
Latigo Canyon rd to Mulholland Hwy (15 minutes) -
Mulholland hwy to 23 (15 minutes) -
Hwy 23/westlake blvd to 101 (11 minutes) –
Moorpark hwy 23 @ Los Angeles Avenue (11 minutes) -
Fillmore via hwy 23/Grimes cyn (15 minutes) -
Santa Paula via 126 (10 minutes) -
Oaji via hwy 150 (30 minutes) -
hwy 101 @ Carpinteria via hwy 150 (30 minutes) -
Santa Barbara (15 minutes)

Looks like Casitas Pass Rd - Foothill - E Valley may be an alternate to the 101 into SB. Depending on time and interest.

If we leave PCH@Sunset at 7:30 we should arrive at Moorpark around 8:30. Hang out and stretch our legs for a bit and the off to Santa Barbara ETA with no further stops would be 10:45 a.m.

Total estimated time: 3:15, bet we do it in less

How does this sound?

FBfisher you gotta stop in fillmore for at least a couple
seconds to pick me up in my car! I will be there at the
23 126 intersection waiting on all of you.
Scott and Lee and Steve i got the FSR radio so give
me the heads up on what channel to be on!
that way I can be warmed up by the time you get there.

Fred, the route looks good to me. Do you have the detailed route to our destinations once you get to Santa Barbara?

Regarding Paul's (Old Guy) question regarding what Channel on the FRS Radios, in the past we have used Channel 1 as some people don't have the radios with the secondary Codes. I assume we'll use Channel 1 again.

For anyone who doesn't have a FRS Radio, we use them to communicate while driving. (Award for best on in-transit comment heard over the radio: Rich (911) in the twisties on a Malibu Run "My son is throwing up!") FRS Radios are very inexpensive ($29 and up) and can be found at any electronic store, such as Radio Shack, Circut City, etc., or a zillion places on the internet. As long as it's an FRS Radio, it will communicate with all other FRS radios. No license necessary.

Lee I got a Bell south radio at Wallmart for $14
5 mile radius, 22 FSR and GMSR channels what ever that means.

Are we still invited to Phil's place (the dealership) for a BBQ? If so, we should make sure we bring the required food, condiments, and beverages. A BBQ sounds great... perfect "shmooze" opportunity. Phil? Phil? Are you still up for this?
