Default Porsche Mechanic for PPI? - West Chester, PA

Any suggestions on a reputable and knowledgeable 993 mechanic for a PPI?

I came across Performance Automotive. Really appreciated the help and professionalism!

Dougherty is the shop in that area.
I spoke to him a few times when considering Holt 993's as well as an 87 turbo look 911 coupe.Very knowledgeable.

Default PPI near West Chester

New to the forum. Found a nice 964. Looking for recommendations besides Daugherty. The seller said he had issues with them in the past getting cars back with minor scratche and does not support sending a car there for a PPI. What are some other options near this city? Appreciate the help.

i used Performance to PPI my 993, which i purchased from Holt. i thought they did a great job. Very thorough job. Even found a tiny crack in the fan blade, which Tim replaced, of course. I bet a majority of people would have missed that one.

For what it's worth, sometimes the best place to go for a PPI is the one your seller is avoiding and the forum is recommending.

+1 for Dougherty.

I just called Dougherty. Seems like a nice place. They charge $ 495 for a stage 1 PPI. Does that seem high to you guys or fair? Also that doesn't include a borescope inspection of bore scoring, which costs another about 500 dollars (For 996/997.1).

If it includes leak down, it's fair. If it does not, then it's a bit expensive.

For what it's worth, I've been quoted $600 for JUST a leak down on a 993 from some very reputable shops. No other PPI work included.

I paid $350 for a PPI with leak down on my last 993 and it showed up with a completely shot 2nd gear synchro. You know the old adage...
