Several of my cars and many, many autocross cars I'm familiar with had Konis leak. I think it's fairly well documented. I'm referring to the yellow Koni Sport, don't know about others.
+1 , Now sold as Koni active, same product. I have this on my 993 and was driving it today and literally thought when I was driving how good the ride was. Probably helped it was sunny and 65 and I had the windows and sunroof open There's always the 'what's next?' though. For me it would be the KW V3 , RS uprights (now available!) & do RS ride height which you can't get with the Konis.
Waizone- perhaps this will help you decide. Here’s my C2 with Koni Sport with H&R springs. Just like the FSD/Active, the rear is not height adjustable. The front has an additional 3/4” of thread left to drop further.
This thread is making me think I made a mistake installing the Bilsteins... not one person has said they prefer them over Koni's.
I assumed my stiff-ish ride was part and parcel of the gig... since reading this I notice the bumps more and more and wonder if Koni's would be the solution.
I almost pulled the trigger on Bilsteins and M033 springs but then started to research the Koni shocks and keep seeing how many people are happy and switching up. I started researching further and came to 2 potential set ups which I'd loved some feedback on. First is the Koni sport setup that has the Koni sport shocks and sport springs. The seem to be on sale everywhere at half off but I can seem to be able to determine how low one can adjust the height on the rears. The dampening also appeals for obvious reasons
The other other is the R033 set up with the new FSD spring that everyone seems to be very happy with. I currently have the North American SUV height still and want to get the car lower and still have options to play around with rims and rubber.
If anyone has the 1145-1046 set up on their 993 and can comment on the adjustability that would be very much appreciated. Happy FRIDAY!!

Regarding Koni Sport or Active shocks, the rear is NOT height adjustable. You are at the mercy of the springs installed.
RoW M030 & RoW M033 Springs mate to Bilstein B8 units

I'm considering the Koni shocks this time in hope that I can lower to ROW height and also improve the ride a little bit (hence the M033 springs).

The RoW M033 springs came about from the 1997 & 1998 993 Carrera S, a 2wd Turbo wide-bodied coupe model. .. The 993 Carrera S coupe's sold in Germany received this unique M033 Sport Suspension as standard, however this was not offered in N. America. .. There were RoW markets in which the M033 Sport Suspension was optional for the '97 & '98 Carrera S model. .. The German market 993 Carrera S coupe consisted of Cup II 17-inch wheels, M033 Sport Springs (short-lowering springs) unique Monroe Struts, 993.343.041.38 /042.38,,, unique Monroe rear shocks 993.333.051.37 and 1mm larger F&R sway bars. .. That's the Germany market 993 Carrera S M033 Sport Suspension components.
The German market 993 Carrera S Monroe model numbers mentioned,,, directly cross to the shorter Bilstein B8 strut/dampers. .. B8-35-195276 / 35-195283 Struts and B8-24-195294 shocks.
The 993 RoW M030 and or RoW M033 springs are -30mm or -1.25 inches lower in height than any Porsche N. American 993 coil springs/struts/shocks counterparts. .. The RoW M033 spring set,, lower by -30mm or 1.25-inches,, is mismatched when mated with the tall Bilstein B6.strut/shock.
Gert @ Carnewal has on order a set of the Bilstein B8 struts/shocks. .. In the meantime, an original Germany 993 Carrera S Monroe strut & shock are being dyno'ed. .. Should be an interesting comparison.
Either you are wrong or Gert Carnewal is wrong...
Gert's says ROW 993S cars came with 33 springs and 30 was optional
It is also incorrect to call 33 springs sport springs on the S- they were standard
and 30's are the sport spring

The RoW = European 993C2 and C4 came standard wih the standard suspension. For these cars, the RoW M030 and M033 was optional.
The RoW = Euro C2S and C4S came with the M033 suspension as standard.
For the C2S and C4S, the RoW M030 suspension was optional As you can see, the RoW C2S and the RoW C4S always had a lower suspension. Whether it came with the standard =M033 or the optional M030 suspension. The height of the RoW M030 and M033 suspension are a bit lower than the RoW standard height.
