Let’s talk Front and Rear Sway Bars

The only bars we use here are the factory RS ones since this is the prime tool for adjusting the understeer/oversteer balance of the car.
These are 25mm & 20mm bars, respectively and ride quality is not adversely affected, IMHO. Shocks make a bigger difference.
Naturally, your settings will affect the stiffness.

your front stock C4 drop links will be fine. The rear ya might wanna just make up a set of adjustable drop links. Very easy to order items at Speedwaymotors, and then get correct bolts at local hardware. About $40-50 bucks, and done!

I would love to get the RS sway bars, however with my driving skills it's not likely I would notice the difference from the M030 bars.
I hope to add the M030 before too long.

Not implying bigger bars don’t exact a toll. Just that reducing roll through the bars, without having to stiffen the corners, is likely less of an impact on public roads. My car is not horrid on moderate roads. But on anything from properly constructed/maintained roads and up, its pretty surgical. I’ll take the inconvenience of avoiding poor routes, for the reward I get from doing so. :-)

I always use the RS droplinks in street cars. Race cars get adjustable ones.

On the C4S for street driving I use 4F/5R with the RS bars in the middle. Tire pressure 32F/42R, the door tag pressure of 36F/44R is great if your going down the autobahn at 150+. The suspension is full RS except the Bilsteins. Play around with it, what works for me in the canyons may not for the next person.

My 96' Carrera came with the US M030 option. I remember when I replaced the coil-overs I noticed the links to the bars were not adjustable but the attachment purchase for the links on the H&R strut body was to some degree.
It also looked like the loading of the bars once the car was on the ground seems like it would vary by ride height all things being equal.
What are the rules on pre-loading the bar properly or is it only loaded correctly when the ride height is set to the original OE specification or there about?
how are the bars adjusted for these rules?
Enquiring minds want to know!
