Default Window connector problem

So I’m upgrading the door speakers take the panel off and find this. I’m not sure if I did it, or it was like this? Question is what would you do for a fix? Thanks in advance, happy new year everyone!

Retaining clip broken.

I would look for a similar section of harness on EBay and then pop on the intact retaining clip.

You may be able to temporarily pirate one from a more accessible place on your 993 in order to finish the speaker install.

If the wires are still solidly connected and it's just the plastic that is cracked, why not just squeeze it back together and wrap it with electrical tape? That would last you another 100 years. If it's cracked badly and the wires are loose or insecure when you squeeze it back together, then, I'd try to find a replacement.

If you can find a part number on the plastic housing you might want to check how much a new one would cost at one of the Porsche dealerships with online parts sites (Sunset Porsche, or Sonnen Porsche are the ones I've used before). Some of these plastic connector housings are still available from Porsche and may not be that expensive. That is what I did when I made a custom harness to fit 997 seats into my 993 without modifying the existing wiring in the car or the seats.

I believe Andy is correct. I recently had the door panel off and accidentally caused the switch case to open while reinstalling it. Several of the wires came out of the housing. It was a challenge to get them back in the correct position and close it up.

No, the connector lid has a broken tab. I managed to take my Dremel and do a groove and Tied a small zip tie around it. Snugged it right down.
it’s all back together now with my new speakers. I’ll do a report in another post soon. Thanks for all your suggestions. Yes I should’ve wrote down the part number on it. Should’ve took a few more pictures too but I didn’t. Thanks for all the support, I love this place. Happy new year!
