My Swedish friend and Porsche enthusiast Janko Lind have a hobby of making Youtube videos. He has had lots of Porsche's and has run hundreds of laps on the Nürburgring in addition to many other racetracks. Janko´s own enthusiast car right now is a 991 GT3 Clubsport 2018. Someone here on the 993 forum noticed him earlier this fall but also at the same time pointed out that he had no 993 review. This made me call Janko and offer him to borrow my 993. He had it for more than a week......
Janko is one of extremely few individuals I've let drive or borrow my 993. A car I bought back in 2003. Before this 993 I had a few 911´s, a 964 Turbo and a 964 RS.
The result of Jankos´s week in my "R" is this video published on Youtube today. Janko has done a great job, but I'm biased
Drooling for what that cup engine must feel like in that car. My RS tribute still has the stock 3.6 but i run on PSS10s and RS shifting with light flywheel, no catalyst and empty stock cans for mufflers and no sound pad so your sound seems familiar. I would just LOVE to feel that engine behind me.
cheers, what a fantastic machine you have built.
People that are ordering 992s instead of building a car such as yours are idiots.
Priceless moment when he pushes the throttle and work through the gears. His reaction in laughter and smile sums it all up.
Great video and very nice car!
Priceless moment when he pushes the throttle and work through the gears. His reaction in laughter and smile sums it all up, quite early on.
Great video and a very nice car!
Wonderful video and obviously the car haha , not to pick nits but this appears to be built on a wide body 2S chassis ? The 993 RS Cup was a narrow hipped
chassis and of course the original 'R' we all know was both narrow and SWB ....of course an appealing interpretation though ! Thanks for posting Bert

This is a narrow body Carrera. Just like the RS, Cup and Supercup.
