Doesn’t look good. A shame; always felt he had quality inventory and was enthusiastic about 993s & 928s. Hope it works out for him.

Ah, so it's a different Willhoit from this gentleman in the Petrolicious video. Good, because John seemed very likable and my con man radar did not get activated

That is a shame. I purchased my 928GTS from Michael the most honest used car salesman I have ever dealt with. He was a true gentleman. The price was reasonable and the car was in excellent condition. He shipped me the car with a 30 day return policy set up temporary plates and when I had issues with one coolant line paid to have all of them replaced. A few weeks later he sent me a check for $250 to take my wife to dinner for dealing with the inconvenience.
He had some of the best 928's for sale for many years although I never understood his fascination with his home. He has had it for sale for a long time and it is so specific to his taste finding a buyer will always be a problem and clearly has spent a fortune personalizing it. I hope things work out for him I am sure he has his side.

Guys, seriously. I thought my earlier attempt to make fun of the "mistaken identity" would be enough. I guess not...
Here's John Willhoit, a Porsche legend:
He has nothing to do with that mid-Western scammer in the article other than share a last name.

Ilko,
John and G. Manna are good friends although I am surprised to hear this about Michael. You might know more than I but I never considered Michael a scammer although some of his pricing was outlandish he always seemed to have grade A quality product. It will be interesting to see what comes of this and I a surprised there is no mention of it on the 928 forums.

Hey Tony! Yes, I saw Jerry and John at the Nurburgring last spring of all places. Small world as they say
Never knew there was another Willhoit who deals in Porsche. I guess the joke's on me!! Just did a little google search on him, enlightening to say the least...
