Default This is not a wheel repainting DIY

Hi Rennlist:

I got the wheels done and on the car just in time! I put a set of Blizzaks on the wheels. Pictured below.

I just finished refurbishing and repainting a really rough set of wheels a friend gave me. They came off a ratty C2S and were beaten up. The rears were stuck on the car because the old owner didn't have the key socket. So they drilled out the lugs with some collateral damage.

I spent a while hand sanding the finish off and smoothing out all the gouges and pits etc.
I then applied 3 to 5 counts of primer and 5 coats of wheel paint.

The results were ok. Not great but these are my winter wheels so I wasn't concerned about perfection. I am generally not a perfectionist ever. Haha.

Also, thanks to this online forum for all the years. I am going on my 7th year as a member. Tons of great info and advice.

Some photos. Snow tires are awesome.

Slap some M+S tires on those puppies and you are good to go!
Don't be surprised if you get some odd looks showing up at PCA events in your car in winter.
Don't ask me how I know!
By the way, you can drive on snow tires year round as when the tread wears down they become economical all season tires!!
Andy :-)

Thanks again!

Nice job! Love it. However I must say I am not overly fond of your Technique. I am a Brotherhood fan.
