When I went out to the bodyshop to check on my car, I saw two Ferraris which had just been finished. One was a beautiful F355 which had been smashed by demonstrators in Zurich one evening! It was parked in downtown Zurich! The second was an old 328 which someone had poured gasoline on and lit a match!!!
The car looks great. Just curious, are there "salvage or branded titles" for repaired cars in Europe like there is here in the States? <img src="confused.gif" border="0">
With all the anti-capitalist types protesting meetings of the WTO and such, it's no wonder that this vandalism occurs.
I must say that one of the best things about living in a small Midwestern town (ala' Norman Rockwell ) is that these events are decidedly rare, as opposed to the larger towns in which I've lived (Detroit, Atlanta, Houston,...). However, I'm still a bit shy about driving a Ferrari, because of the "flash" factor. I still snap my neck when I see one, and I'm just one of those jaded and selfish capitalist pigs.
