According to my build sheet, I have the Motor Sound Package 159, and I have the chrome squarish tips.

The airbox cover was drilled, the airbox intake tip was chrome-painted. Looks weird to me, but, hey. A lot of the old guard here drilled their airbox covers. The hole template is still here for those who search.

That is the option code for the power driver’s seat. The only motor sound package I have been aware of in the US market is 159 that (as others have already stated) included the perforated air-box, mufflers, and polished Gillet tips (as seen in gavonder’s post above). The package could be ordered in conjunction with either X54 (stainless oval tips) or Y29 (aluminum-chrome package).

I would have to agree with you that at idle they are very close, but on throttle, the IIs have a much more distinct growl. With that said, I wish I would have gone with the IIIs for a more noticeable difference. I already have my neighbors trained, too, so I can easily get away with more noise!

My wife already complains she can hear me coming from a few blocks away! I won't get away with more noise- at speed- and I mean like 140- this thing screams and I love it !
