Anyone of you who can help?
On startup when the engine is cold the AC compressor gives of a bad noice which disappears when the engine is warm. As I rev the engine the pitch of the sound changes. The noice is present irrespective if the AC is turned on or off. The AC system works perfectly by the way.
The car just had its 40 000 km service and the mechanics determined that the noice is definitely coming from the AC compressor since it disappeared when the drive belt to the compressor was removed.
Any thoughts out there if it is the compressor which is failing or the magnet which activates the AC when the dashboard switch is activated?
Any thoughts are appreciated.

"993 RS - Hopefully sometime soon..."
If this was the case & I was you (you live in Sweden, so it's not that warm), I'd get rid of the whole A/C!
