Hi, my 993 Cab has a CDR-210 stereo in it and ideally I'd like to attach my iPod up to it. Does it support a CD Changer? I figure if so, maybe there's a way I can rig up a cable to allow an external input to work.
thanks!

Terry,
FWIW, my experience so far:
I am just about to end a similar quest. I have the 210 with the 6 disc changer and from what I've gathered, the 210 does not have provisions for any aux intput. This, I found out after consulting with a handful of companies that make custom aux inputs for car stereos, as well as Blaupunkt. The Blaupunkt folks tell me that the 220 and most models made after the 210 will work with an aux input. Frustrating, to say the least.
I got prices from them for the 220-the upgrade would be in the close to $400.00 range/plug and play. Since the difference in sound quality between the 210 and 220 is probably unoticable, I think it's best to just use an FM transmitter with the iPod, like the iRock or Transpod and save the $$$ for other parts or a total audio revamp.

Terry - I have the same in my 97 Cab and it does support a CD changer - I know because I installed one about a year ago. Not sure if that will allow you to rig up the Ipod. Good Luck.

franklin is right. The cdr210 does not have an aux.
The cdr220 does. You can find these 2nd hand ranging from $100-$400.
Another altrernative is to get a Becker Monza or Online Pro. Both of those play mp3's natively.

sorry guys-meant to say Becker vs Blaupunkt-I constantly confuse the two.
