Not quite sure why the fuse upgrade - it's what i was told to do by people who are far cleverer than me
I'm sure Autolamps told me that a high beam upgrade isn't possible (for what reason I'm not sure either!)

IIRC, HID lighting current draw is quite high during the ignition phase, hence the suggested 25A fuse. Once ignited, maintainance is only 35W. However, I've had no problems w/the oem 15A.

I just got a set of Philps HIDs from CT Motorwerks in Dallas, 469-916-2992. Ask for David. They also carry Heller and a few other brands as well. I like the Philips one as they are 4,100 degree Kelvin temp. quite close to OEM TT spec. If you go for other brands, ask what temp. they are. Don't go too high or the fuzz may pay you un-needed attention.
These are supposedly plug/play units. I did not install them myself, but I'm real happy with the results. These are left over kits and may run out eventually. I don't think they are being imported any more.
Mind you the content material will state that the product is illegal except for off/road use etc. They are true HIDs, while CATZ is a simulation kit.
Good luck.
