Post Kahn Wheels

1994 993 c2 cab owner here..

How are Kahn wheels? Any body use them. Any feedback on them?

I have been offered a set of 18 inch Kahn Wheels with P-zero tyres (all brand new, standard sizes for 993) for $ 2750/-. Does that sound reasonable?

No personal experience. AFAIK, Kahn is a relatively new (5 +/- yr?) TUV approved, cast wheel made in England. I believe they are not very expensive (about $300-$350 each in the US), so the price quoted w/tires (or even tyres) may be a bit high. RSR or RSS? Make sure the offsets are correct.

I first learned about Kahn on <a href="http://www.audiworld.com/" target="_blank">audiworld.com</a> since a number of Audi owners posted raves about them . Try plugging "Kahn" into the <a href="http://www.audiworld.com/search/" target="_blank">audiworld.com search site.</a>

However, I did take a look at a US source of Kahn wheels - <a href="http://www.edgeracing.com/KWDBrand.asp?WB=Kahn" target="_blank">Edge Racing's Kahn data</a> & did not see 18" wheels for a 993. Maybe the list is incomplete, or I missed them, but you may want to double check what you're buying.

<a href="http://www.kahndesign.com/" target="_blank">Kahn Design</a> wheels are made in Italy for them. I am not sure if they are particularly lightweight, though. Also, these wheels are represented in the US by <a href="http://www.sacwheels.com/wheels/wheels_fr.html" target="_blank">SAC Wheels, Inc.</a>

Hameed

Front 8x18 ET 52.0
Rear 10x18 ET 65.0

for your narrow body 1994 993 c2 cab

Also, there's the steering rack issue with debate whether 18" wheels are appropriate for your pre '95 VIN xxxx car:

<a href="http://forums.rennlist.com/forums/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic&f=3&t=002828" target="_blank">18" on 95 993 </a>
