Lightbulb H&R 993 Front & Rear Sway Bar Bushing Replacement 33954HA & 33954VA

I am creating this thread as there are many searchable threads on replacement bushings but none on the 33954 VA & 33954 HA versions.

I am really a huge fan of H&R but their customer service is a bit annoying. I wish they would sell directly to their customers, but whatever.

As a customer you are forced to reach out to their distributors to order these bushings.

For 33954 VA (front) sway bar the bushing reference number is 70953

For 33954 HA (rear) sway bar the bushing reference number is 71953

I hope this helps someone in the future.

Best,

Paul

I had needed new bushings, and wanted urethane. Ordered the Prothane bushings as close to the 24/26 mm as possible. I then heated the correct diameter (just shy of it) socket, and melted the inners of the Prothane bushings. Worked well and still in there.

Was just throwing it out there, in the event someone else had the H&Rs and wanted an alternative to the rubber bushes. :-)

The last thing I would ever do is tell someone how to do things.
If you are happy I cannot argue with your solution

Front or rear? Front have specific droplinks for AWD vs 2wd. For rear, depends if you are mounting under or over rear links. Stock is over, RS is under. I think with these bars you mount over. I've got a rear one I never ended up using from a member here and it mounts over with the shorter links.

I run the RS bars with tarrett links.

I couldn't get the rear to mount under the rear links to use the RS drop links because it would hit the engine. Do RS drop links only work on RS sway bars, at least the rear?

The RS bars are the only I know of that have the right curvature to mount under with the RS curved links. This is mine.
