There's been thousands of dollars worth of advise in this very thread. None really taken, it seems, so at this point it's worth $1 to me. I honestly wish you luck. I've just seen this movie before.

For the origin of the $1 socio-phylosophycal bets, please find and see "Trading Places".

PS. GO see the car. At the very, least do a Rennfax by someone who knows what they are looking at. It will save you money and aggravation in teh future and I'm willing to bet much more than $1 on that.

Would you go on a blind date where you were required to marry the girl before you saw her?

If Rick Deman said it is a good car, then it is probably solid. Set aside 10% of purchase price to fix little things like door checks latches, leaky evaporator and stuff that wears out on a 20+ year old car. If you don't spend that 10% on fixing the car, then upgrade suspension, exhaust, shift rod and steering wheel. You will have a solid car.
Thanks for the advice, I plan to have some work put into it as soon as it arrives.

If Rick from DeMan Motorsport inspects her thoroughly, yes.

I wasn't bothered by the $1 bet on my situation, I was just expecting the stakes to be WAY higher.

The stakes for you are much higher.

For the RL peanut gallery, $1 sounds about right

See the movie, seriously. And: "In Philadelphia it's worth fifty bucks".

I just looked at a 993 for a Renn member hear in KC , then suggested they get a PPI which they did. I then did a detailed report which member appreciated. The member is now flying to look at car, so I would recommend to do it this way, in the ned fly in and look for yourself.
