Alternate Lowering Methods

Surj,
You are correct. I didn't do my homework on this and was confused by the "extra threads" of the Bilstein's. The springs have to be changed to lower the car, if you go this route.

Surj,
The set-up (Bilstein HD's and M030's) that you are going to install is what I did a month ago. Unfortunately I have not been able to drive the car at all due to snow, salt, etc. My shop picked up the car and brought it back to my hangar via enclosed trailer.
You didn't say if you were lowering your car at all, but here is another post that may be of some help....
"I just completed installation of M030 lowering springs and Bilstein HD's. All measurements are along the center line of the wheels on a level floor, to the fender "lip". Full fuel, no driver.
Original ride heights, with the Monroe (green) OEM shocks and stock springs. This ride height produces a 2" gap between the top of an 18" tire and the fender lip. Very "SUV" looking.
Front: 26 5/8" Rear: 26 1/2"
My new ride heights with M0303 and Bilstein's. I believe this is the "Euro" ride height, about 1" lower than above, or a 1" gap between the top of the
tire and fender lip.
Front: 25 3/4" Rear: 25 5/8"
Finally, I have read about some of the guys lowering to the "RS" ride height. I think this is another full inch lower than the "Euro" height above".
Hope this helps you.

I just dropped my car off to get a new set of pilot sports and to lower the car to 25" in the rear and 25.5 in the front. Unfortuatnely, they will have to realign the car. DOH, should of done it right the first time.
Oh, well, it's only money.

Mike,
The Euro ride height is just a little above the RS ride height (I doubt it is a full inch different).
Mine is set to the RS Spec and the wheel well lip measurements with fairly new SO3s, 1/2 tank, no driver are 25.25" (F) and 25.5" (R).
The rear is probably about 1/2 inch or so high (10mm rake to the front suspension measurements), but within the RS spec allowed rake. This rake is because the rear PSS9s are at the lowest point recommended by Bilstein, but I know many others have their's set lower without any problems. Since I still drive on the street, much lower could cause scraping issues so it is good enough for me.
