Any rubber components in the steering system?

In an effort to make the steering as direct and lively as possible, I'd like to eliminate any rubber components the steering may have. Can anyone confirm if the 993 steering system has any rubber isolator type components? Here is a pic of what I am talking about. You can see the person has removed the rubber and replaced it with aluminum. This is not from a Porsche, but you can see there is a rubber damper/isolator type device on the steering u-joint/coupler.
Thanks

One might need to be careful of substituting bits like this as some rubber couplings are designed to be compliant in the event of a frontal impact, in efforts to isolate your body from harm..
Not sure in this instance though.
I would think RS bits (tie-rods, rack mountings (if they are different in the RS)) would minimize steering compliance, retaining as factory design..
just my $.02, or .024euro
