Post Baby got new shoes.

I got new shoes for the Carrera C4S the other day. Not wanting the tire dealer to touch the car itself or handle the alloy lug nuts, I took all the 4 wheels off and carried them to the shop. On the way home I brought back the old monster rear tires to keep as spares. So I ended up with 6 wheels and tires in the Audi S4. Or the "S4UV" as I call it now! Who needs a truck!

Now I just have to break them in before my next DE!

I need a friend from Albany (where I live) to buy a lift so I can go visit it.. err.. my friend. I forget how large the wheels/tires are until I see them off like that. Nice garage, beautiful car, and when are you moving to Albany?

Here is a good source for lifts...

I hope to be ordering one next month...
Anyone care to go in on a group buy?

GregD.....You don't EVEN want to know how much BradB had to give for that lift!!!

Hey BradB.......Julie told me the other day that she was the one that was going to have to drag those huge wheels and tires around in her S4! <img border="0" alt="[burnout]" title="" src="graemlins/burnout.gif" /> I can just see Debbie doing that for me! <img border="0" alt="[hiha]" title="" src="graemlins/roflmao.gif" />

Here are details on the lift:
<a href="http://www.asedeals.com/pit_lifts.html" target="_blank">http://www.asedeals.com/pit_lifts.html</a>

I was at a Jaguar club meeting one day and one of the rather affluent members said he had this lift that he used only to make it easier to clean the bottom of his cars. He wanted a larger lift to be able to walk under. He offered the lift to anyone who wanted it, $50-delivered. While everyone was in shock I lifted my hand first!!!

I love it.

Great. The Asedeals.com site is even cheaper. I am looking at the low rise ones, sound pretty good for $1170 to $1300 for the LR-60. You can do tires, brakes, oil change, tranny fluids and all that w/o risking your neck ! Q: Did you get the extra arms or do you rest the car on the length of the ramp (touching on the jack points only, presumably)? It's hard to tell from your pictures... Other Q: I understand you got a DEAL on that one, but would you say the pit lift is better than the regular low rise? You don't have a pit, I guess it gives you better access to the centerline of the car vs. the others...

Still it would be great for my 993 + 356 ! Those 2 always need attention from below ! Not like my wife's Land rover ! I can practically walk under that one without lifting it, and change the oil in 3 minutes flat ! ;-) I think I'll buy the LR60one as soon as I paid for the last round of "maintenance items" !

Mine is actually the low rise style but the cost is similar and they work basically the same. No extra jack points, just lifts on the under-body. Works well.

Here's another shot.

Cool lift, I'm interested too. Great idea and appears safe too. Regards.
