C4S Production?
Lately, I've had recurring dreams/fantasies about buying a 993 C4S. I've been trolling the web looking for C4S info, photos, prices, etc. Totay, I stumbled onto on site where a C4S owner claims the following production numbers.
1996 C4S 1,091 Units
1997 C4S 937 Units
1998 C4S 298 Units
------
2,326 Total
Does that sound right to you guys? Do you think those number represent TOTAL worldwide production or only the numbers shipped to the US?

Not sure if this helps but these are the only production figures I know about (no doubt if they are incorrect someone will kindly correct them) I believe that these are the world wide figures.
911 Carrera (type 993)
Year : 1993 - 1998
Body : Coupé, Cabriolet, Targa (1996), Coupe S (1997)
Cubic capacity : 3,600 cc
Power : 272 hp, 285 hp (1996), 300 hp (3.8 RS engine, 1997)
Production : 46,919
911 Carrera 4 (type 993)
Body : Coupé, Coupe 4S
Cubic capacity : 3,600 cc
Production : 14,114
911 Carrera RS (type 993)
Year : 1995
Body : Coupé, Club Sport (modified aerodynamics)
Cubic capacity : 3,874 cc
Power : 300 hp
Production : 1,200
911 turbo (type 993)
Year : 1995 - 1999
Body : Coupé
Cubic capacity : 3,600 cc
Power : 408 hp, 430 hp (911 GT2 modifications), 450 hp (turbo S, 1999 911 GT2 modifications)
Production : 6,314
911 GT2 (type 993)
Year : 1995 - 1999
Body : Coupé
Cubic capacity : 3,600 cc
Power : 430 hp, 450 hp (1999)
Production : 194
So looking at a total world wide production of 14114 I would summise that your figures relate to the States alone. Any other figures out there that either support or indeed contradict these.
