i have the projector fog lamp ( with air scoop) in my bumper and the previous owner put in a HID kit. It works intermittently and I wanted to swap the ballast and light out for a led style light. It switches on from the factory fog light switch on the dash. Has anybody done this? I feel like the HID is a bit overkill and the light pattern is really bad and super bright

i have two connections. the one on the right i assume is the factory fog lamp connector, the two smaller on the left connect to the HID bulb and come from a ballast -that is the current switched setup. can i just plug a led bulb into the one on the right?

Won’t be plug n play but you should be able to power the LED bulb through that plug if you can find a way to pair up the connection.

The plug you have your finger on is the marker light. It wouldn’t be used in a HID setup. There are two bulbs on the original fog setup, one for the projector and one for the small marker light. Look for a round plug that may have been adapted or removed to plugged into your HID ballast.
