Creaking up front in my 95 993 C2
Hi Folks,
I seem to have developed a creaking noise up front in my 993. Its like the rods in my shocks are creaking. Has anyone experienced this and what is the cure. Is it possible to lube these?
Another questions comes to mind. Are there areas on the 993 C2 that SHOULD be lubed frequently? Are there grease nipples that need to be greased etc...?
THanks,
H

It's not uncommon to hear creaking noises when going over, say, speedbumps, when it's good and cold out ... not neccesarily a problem. If it does it at all temps or just normal driving, could be something else ...

said bushings are on the front sway bar. I had the creak....lubed the bushings...creaking was gone...you can search and find this discussed...oh but w/ the onset of cold weather my windshield has started to creak again...time to get the Pedro's back out.

Deteriorated sway bar bushings. Your choices:
1. Spray lube - at best a very temporary fix.
2. Remove & lube - temporary fix.
3. Replacement - the correct fix.
4. Live w/the noise 'til it gets really bad.
Excerpt from this thread.
The noise may go away w/warmer weather, but it'll be back next winter.

3.a or 5. Remove, replace and lube.
