Time to dump that 43lbs lead battery in the front in favor for something like the ATX-30 from Antigravity. They weigh in under 6lbs and work very well. Been running mine for a week in all kinds of driving and parking conditions with no issues. It's an easy way to take 35lbs out of the front left corner. Just sayin.
I keep looking at lithium ION batteries. Would be good to know how you get on with this, especially though the colder months. Porsche used to (maybe still do?) offer a lithium option (Cayman R, Boxster Spyder, 997 GT3...) so must be some merit in using one.
