Default Carrera or Carrera S

Hello everybody!

I found a car which I really really like! It is up for sale for quite a while but now I have the money for it.
My question is that I dont know if its a Carrera or a Carrera S. It has Red brake Callipers and Wide body but you can never be sure.
I tried to google it but couldnt find a decent VIN decoder
I have the VIN number, so if anyone can help me with that I will send the number and please let me know.

Thanks!

Wide body = Carrera S unless somebody fitted new rear panels.

The option code may still be under the hood.

Where did you locate that VIN on the car? The 'ZZZ' string appears to be ROW - or rest of world, non-US import originally. Or, are you located outside the US?

Another way to tell for sure is the rocker panels below the door will be slightly concave and then flair out. It's unmistakable compared to a NB. That will be the tell tale

Also, a the S will have "Carrera S" written on the tach, grained leather inserts on the dash and doors, and the alu look shifter and hand brake.

My C4S doesn't have the "S" on the tach. OP if it's a Wide body, it's an "S" car- I can't recall ever seeing an aftermarket Wide-body conversion- that would be insanely expensive for no performance improvement. Also, if it has red Calipers ( Big Red Brakes) it's probably a 4S not just an S- but some people DO make that conversion.

I'm pretty sure only the C2S has "S" on the tach face. My C4S does not, nor do others I've seen.

That looks like a narrow body car with turbo front bumper and rear spoiler.

And something doesn’t look right driver side rocker.

Only C2S have “Carrera S” on tach face.

Agree- that is a NB with a lot of work done to it. The question is WHY?

Those rear wheels seem to be sticking out way too much...

Why pass? The front bumper cover is a nice upgrade. The rear wing can be reversed to stock for nominal cost. It could be a very nice car... Get the full info on it and do a full PPI. How many miles and any history of accidents?
