Well the install is STILL not working...

I stil have the same problem of not enough Movement in the release lever to release the sliders. It hits the front edge of the GT3 Seat as it is raised...

I just do not think the "rails" sold to mount Gt3 seat will work...

Lesson... If you are going to get GT3 seat, get them directly made for mounting the 993... I got 996 versions and bought the rails...

When you mount the seat and the rails onto the car, would the release lever releases the seat to move it freely?(assuming that it does not impede by the seat's height)
If you raised the lever full up and had the seat move backward, the seat shouldn't touch the lever anymore, is that the case? Did you try?
One more, maybe you have the seat bolted too low, or at least the front part of it, maybe you can "recline" the seat a bit...

Are you able to put 996's GT3 seats in your 993 yet? I am also interested in putting them in my 993.

As John says above, you can get the GT3 seats that bolt right in your 993 if you buy the proper part numbers.

I was still waiting for the backordered brackets from RECARO .. still 2-3 weeks to wait and I sent them back. I have not decided it I will reorder, OR just look for a set of true race set just for use during DE's.

Here is a price quote I have the GT3 Seat, MADE FOR the 993 installation.

:" 993-521-901-01-8yr is black gt3 leather seat at $1200.00 + 15% each and freight these items are special order from Germany so it will take longer to get. Usually somewhere 8 weeks"

GERT can get them for a little less...
