Quick Jack Feedback
Has anyone had experience with this lift and there 993? It says goes down to 3 inches.
Currently a friend has his 996 at a wrap shop and they are using this lift with no wood to drive up on.
I know there has other jack reviews and no one seems to like them. Also new ones come up for sale all the time.

Thanks for any feedback.

Yep, I have one. My car is set to Cup car ride height specs, so very low. Works great, no need for wood either, move the lifting arms in place, hook up the hoses and it's up in the air in a few minutes. Easily fits in the bed of my truck and very useful for track side repairs.

So that fits under the car no problem. If I where to leave that in the center of the floor under the car for storage would the car clear over it no problem?
Also I see it looks like air with its own pump via a/c plug. Is there any problems with uneven jacking?
Dos it lock as it goes up so you don't need jack stands for safety.
Thanks Paddy,
I'm close to buying one...I wanted to check the lowered height with a 993. For me I want to do light repairs and oil changes.

Yeah, I keep the lift under my BMW and pull it out when needed. I bought the 110V unit and it simply plugs into a wall socket. No uneven jacking if you follow the install procedures and make sure you bleed the lines, very easy process. It has two locking positions, no need for jack stands. You won't regret it, it's a great tool.

Nine9six, they redesigned the Quick Jack after some feedback from Porsche owners and Pelican Parts.
Rockit, you'll want the SLX model as that works with shorter wheel based P-cars.

I’m also thinking of getting one of these. Originally wanted mid rise scissor but I’m limited in height in my garage so I can’t get the most out of one of those. I know as mentioned there was a revision to these units as mentioned above but what model works for the 993? Is it the BL-5000SLX or 3500?

Here's their spec page: https://www.quickjack.com/quickjack-...ing-guide.html. Anyone know the height of a 993 engine which would have to include the apparatus required to drop it?

Paddy you have the updated 993 friendly unit correct, the 5000SLX? They also have a $220 SUV adapter if you wanted extra height: https://www.quickjack.com/accessorie...apter-set.html

Have you done a motor drop with the lift?
I'm not trying to be a naysayer, I'm just trying to figure out where to spend my money in order to get a lift that will perform the functions I desire, while leaving the center of the car open.

Paddy, did you actually use this to remove the engine from your 993?
