I don't put enough miles on my "local" motorcycle, so it only gets one oil change a year.

When that Hazet 2169 socket started jumping over the filter's facets, talk about a panic situation...because the oil filter sits completely within a well in the cast aluminum engine block with only a 1/4" between the filter case and the well. No way you are getting to any part of that oil filter but the top.

 

Well, the 3 jaw filter wrench is awesome. I grabs and won't let go. I'm still scratching my head though...I ended up needing to jump up to an 18" long 1/2" drive ratchet to turn this bastard. I mean, WTF? Glad it's done and I got a cool new tool.

 

Ahhhh, closure!

 

And, my fuel issue is gone too!

 

Glad Sears came through. Man, that puppy must've really glued itself on. Now, don't tell us the fuel problem "cured" itself! Did you change the fuel fiter?

 

That was my experience too, Ed. It trashes the filter, but you would have a serious problen if you couldn't get it off with the Doc Oc filter grabber!
