Has anyone fitted 305 rear tires under narrow body 993? Specifically I'm interested fitting Hoosier 305/30ZR18 tires. This is for the race car so aggressive rolling of fender lips is ok. I measured distance between inner wheel wall and fender lip (not rolled yet) and it's about 305 mm. So seams to be a very close call.

David,
They will fit, not sure of the offset but they were mounted on an 11" BBS wheel, friend used the same wheel on a 996 with the 305.

Guys:
I tried this on my RS recently--used an 11x18-in. BBS race wheel and the Hoosier 305. No way it would fit, even with aggressive fender rolling. Maybe if you cut out the inner lip entirely it would work, but I wasn't willing to do that. Running 285s in the rear now.

Lee,
I saw it with my own eyes, you must not have tried hard enough.
I don't have all of the particulars but they were the same wheels he had on his 996.
Maybe your offset was too much.
