'94-'98 in Europe, first model year in the US is '95.

That's 5 yrs. Someone here has the prod. numbers. The 993 was actually intended as just an interim model between the 964 and until they rolled out the 996. I think they had planned to end it sooner, but it did so well, they made some more.

Mike, I took the truck last night, as traffic was a nightmare and salt was everywhere. Maybe tonight....

Eric,

Although there was no '94 model 993 in the US, production of US "1995" models began in January 1994.

Ok, traffic and salt, I forgive you. I notice you're passing on the date info. Must have been a slow news night all-round.

I see you're from Alexandria VA. I flew into Manassas a couple of weekends ago. My daughter's boyfriend is a Marine officer candidate at Quantico, so I took her for a visit. Lovely part of the country and a nice 20 F warmer than Upstate NY. Lucky dog....

This is the best place in the US to own a Porsche. We have such an awesome DIY club and great fun runs too. Date was actually very good and will probably be repeated after the holidays - in the 993.
