Post Replacing convertible top

I got a quote of $1400 installed. Sounds almost too cheap, but maybe I'm losing perspective. Can anyone enlighten me?

The top is manufactured in Germany. I've been refered to the shop (Trim Line in Torrance) by two sources. Supposedly they do alot of 993s.

Unless it's oem which is usually about $4000. Most of the quotes i've got was $1200 installed for Robbin top or German fabric.

I also heard that oem material is weak compared to after market.

Not being a top expert, I would suggest calling John Paterek (PCA expert in this field) -- 973-635-5924.
