compare and contrast - 993 vs. boxster

I sold my '96 993 to get an '03 Boxster S. The Boxster is one sweet ride. Almost in a class of it's own.
This sounds funny, but I just felt sick about not having the 993. It was like the garage was empty.
So I bought another '96 993 this weekend. Life is complete.

I agree with the other posts on this thread. I have an '01 Boxster S and a '97 993. The S is fun to drive (when its dry out!) but doesn't have the build quality or "ride feel" of the 993. A couple small points: I prefer the S's three spoke wheel and superior sound system (which can easily be remedied with a couple of mods).
I also had a '99 Boxster which I got rid of when the S came out. I don't think the standard Boxster is in any way comparable to the other two cars - highly underpowered and very nervous at higher speeds.
BTW, my wife cannot tell the difference between any of them (great for me - I hide the 993 keys and she can drive the Boxster S to her heart's content - would you have it any other way?).
