I am looking at a 1996 coupe with 44,000 miles. It's in good shape. What's a good, fair and high price for this car?

Need to know more about the car. Detailed list of options, color, how many owners, records?, and where is the car located.

One owner Black/Black Coupe, manual, 17" wheels, traction control, cruise, factory cd, all power, alarm.

Here's a data point for you.

I bought my '96 back in October. White/black, 27k, new S02s, 18" Technology wheels, hifi sound (no CD though), dual power seats, Lojack. Flawless in and out.

I paid $44k, and I thought at the time that I was overpaying by $1-2K (based on comments here), but I liked the car and didn't want to pass on it.

Here is another perspective:

November purchase, 96 Carrera 2, Speed Yellow/Classic Grey, 44k, 18" hollow spoke, dual power seats, HiFi w/CD changer, newer rear P-zero's, H&R lowering springs (now being replaced ). Perfect condition inside and out, records. $42k. I too thought it was a little high but I really wanted a SY coupe and had looked for over six months and had not found one in good shape so I paid a little more to get the car in the color I wanted.

I don't know about you but I came across many more guards red and black cars in my search than any other color, so keep that in mind.
