Question How much do standard mufflers and tips weigh?

My original mufflers were 'removed' by someone from next to my car just after I swapped them for the Mille Miglias (more likely a tidying-obsessed neighbour than a thief). They weren't worth a lot but the main problem is that I never had a chance to weight the old mufflers plus tips to be able to calculate the weight difference!

Many people have reported the weight difference between systems so I assume they measured the absolute weights first. Could someone please dig out this information for me?

Oh, and the weight should include both mufflers and tips and any attached heat guards/hardware. Thanks.

Hehehe.

I'm pretty sure they are around 15 or so pounds each. Unfortunately I weighed most of my exhaust stuff all together.

Tips themselves were something a little over a pound together

The steel brackets that hold the mufflers in place (muffler straps go around these) were actually quite heavy for thier size.

Thanks, but I'm not even in the running. Check out what Robert Linton and Poorb0yw have been up to!

So I get the correct weight by taking 50% off?
