What size spacers are you using with your MY02 BBS wheels?

996,
My first objective was aesthetics. The change in handling feel was unexpected and now that I’ve explored this further I think probably can be fine tuned with some different alignment settings. The issue only becomes discernible at speeds approaching the legal limit. I’ll get it dialed in and once complete it will be exactly to my liking both visually and viscerally. With respect to performance I’m sure there are some experts here who might espouse the benefits of the wider track. It’s all good....

Pick up a ruler or a tape measure and look at the distance of 3/16". Now add in the fact that you're handling has become unsettled and now let's add in the cost of an alignment...
Point: IMHO, it hardly seems worth it, but if it makes you happy and is pleasing to your eye, then by all means!

I have MY02 wheels (8x18ET50 & 10x18ET65) and have used 993-numbered 5mm spacers front & rear for years.
I recently installed new 52mm studs (stock is 45mm) in the rear and am running a no-name set of 7.8mm spacers. With these studs (and the weirdo spacers) I have full thread engagement on stock aluminum lug nuts. To prove that, I cut a window in an old lug nut and took a pic:

I think this is what you're looking for. These are some old pics of my car with 7mm rear and 5mm front spacers, stock studs, no rubbing with these wheels or my Twists. My Work wheels though did rub in the rear just slightly so I put 5mm in the rear and the rubbing stopped. Ride height here I believe was RS +8 or so, its been awhile since I measured it so I can't be sure.
I have the MY02 wheels and am looking to use 225/40/18 fronts and 285/30/18 rears with rolled fenders. Car is at approximately RS height and assessing whether or not they will rub with the rear tire size.
