[QUOTE=KrazyK;14669075] I think the 1998 993 Turbo S in top condition is estimated to be worth half a million? Not bad.

These are down in price as of the last year. I know of a 993 Turbo S with 9,800 miles sold in the low $400's range. Some slightly higher mileage examples are now going for in the $300's and high $200's. I think people are realizing the value in the regular 993 911 Turbo with sub 30K miles to be had $200K and below. Again, this all can change and risks.

bingo, if everyone had funds stocked away in investments and took loans to take advantage of the spread, this country wouldn't have massive debt problems.

An individual asks a simple question, and as a result gets 20+ pages of info, some good some bad, very little pertaining to the question asked. Makes it a royal pain in the **** later on to search through all posts to gather the information one is looking for

Gotta love these forums

Yes, I just learned most here pay cash for everything. No loans at all, no mortgage, business loans, nothing. Because if it's not paid in cash you can't afford it

I just got approved for $48k 72 months at 4.4% from LightStream. Very easy and quick. Still haven't pulled the trigger, but I'm ready to go.

Simple interest loan I can payoff, pay down, refinance or most likely sell the car in 1-3 years as I've done for the past 20 years.

Yep, but there is zero chance I'll keep the loan or car that long.

I've bought many expensive cars - lease, loans and cash. I never keep them more than 1-3 years. If something changes with the 993 then I'll pay it off early.

Not everyone has $50k+ sitting around. I'm guessing that's why this thread was created.

Not everyone should buy an expensive older porsche either.

No I hear ya! Not everybody has mountains of cash laying around....well... except here in the 993 Forum.... yeah. That's a good rate and you will probably just pay it off early anyways.

Wouldn't the same reasoning apply to any purchase? Why did you borrow money to buy a home?
