Not feeling it. Singer's were interesting at first but this one is over the top. The roof depression looks like hell and that interior, yuk! It looks like a partial leather wrapped race car interior. Why bother with the leather if the car''s purpose is track centric?

To me, the key word with Singer 911s is “Reimagined” and that’s exactly what this is. Although it’s DNA is clearly Porsche it’s not really a 911 anymore. Everything from the custom lighting, body panels, interior, seats, transmission and even the engine are bespoke/custom engineered. Put this car next to a standard 964 and the resemblance will be clear, but you wouldn’t be able to swap many parts between the two. Then again, that’s the point – reimagined.
As far as aesthetics, it’s obviously a very personal choice. Compared to some of the other Porsche customizers such as RUF, RWB and even Gunter, I would generally prefer a Singer over all the others (obviously not considering the money factor). I have no idea what the color names are, but the green and red combo is very well done IMO. The shiny bits aren’t overly done either with satin nickel as the default color & tone. That said, it does appear to be a bit over done a little too modernized if you will – the interior a bit more than the exterior.
While it’s debatable how much this style appeals to someone, what isn’t debatable is the execution. It’s flawless. This isn’t some hacked together show car for SEMA. The materials, craftsmanship, design and engineering are all top notch and it shows - clearly. I wouldn’t buy one, but I can admire one and if someone gave this to me I would sure enjoy it. I bet it sounds amazing.

I think it may be the most beautiful Porsche I've ever seen- it checks all the boxes for me.
I'm not crazy about the 400R looks- appreciate it for what it is.

In Architecture/Industrial Design they say "form follows function", and the new Singer, besides drastic performance enhancements, is clearly a design statement as well. Outside, yes, I love it but I agree that the inside is a bit too much. In this case less would have been more.
But overall that is one wicked looking 911 and I like it a lot. If there wouldn't be the price sticker....

The Singer, Gunther 400r, Juha and Ilko builds all motivate me to finally finish what I envision to be the ultimate 993.
Can anyone recommend a good custom upholstery shop in NorCal?
