Default scissors jack

Has anyone had occasion to use the oem scissor jack? I have not, but am thinking of getting something more substantial- in case...

The Porsche supplied Jack works fine for an emergency tire change. I had a light weight racing hydraulic jack for auto projects but didn't like the way it would flex with the car up. Ended up with a long low profile steel hydraulic jack from Harbor freight. Good for getting the car up and on jack stands quickly with a minimum of grunt. It is heavy so it stays on the floor and I roll it around to use it.

Thank you for the replies. I was referencing a portable jack. I chose the one below, well rated, seems well built.

My complaint with the OEM scissors jack is the anemic aluminum handle. It can't take the torque required and over time, deforms. Porsche made some of these handles with steel rather than the aluminum but not for the 993.

I've used both types of OEM jacks and they perform fine. Of course you need to use it properly otherwise it won't work well. That said, it's nothing like a floor jack of course but it does the job as required when you have a flat on the side of the road for instance. Even keep one in the 997, which does not come with a jack from the factory.
