Post 95 vs96 on....

I heard that the 95s cannot fit 18s and the 96 on can. Did the factory do something different on the suspension on 96 and laters cars to accept 18 inch wheels?

You CAN upgrade to 18's on a 1995.

It "may" require the $40 factory "update" kit (Factory TSB #4440 - 9604 steering rack support).

Yup... $40.

Fourty dollars should not stop anyone from a 18" upgrade.

BTW... The jury is still out on the $40 upgrade being a "must do" anyhow. Some factory documentation may note that it is not necessary after all.

I ordered up the kit (just for grins). Takes 20 minutes to install & may have even firmed up the steering a tad.
