Robert,

Apparently the DOT and NHTSA has banned the fitting of aftermarket HID kits to all cars. There was quite a bit of discussion about this a few months ago. You can do a search under "liteswap" and it will come up. I did not delve into the legalities or spend a lot of time researching it. No way I'm giving up my CATZ HID's.

I don't know if you'd be able to find a supplier in the US that will still sell kits, or perhaps they will with an "off-road only" caveat.

I know Liteswap stopped selling them. Sorry this isn't much help. You may have to go to autolamps-online in the UK to buy a kit. I don't know of anyone that has done this yet, or if they would sell into the US. They do have the correct kits for the 993.

Mark,

I thought the listing on the "hid" site states H1/H4 etc which is OK for Porsches - including the 993. I don't think LHD or RHD is an issue - the kit will fit either. I had a set from them and they are fantastic.
