New Math: RUF-Plate = Cop Magnet
As you can tell from the pics, the RUF is devoid of front and rear plates. I was on the freeway today and spied a CHP merging onto the road. I stayed a good boy at 60 mph on the right lane. The CHP stayed behind me, overtook me, braked hard, waited for me to pass, fall behind and flashed the lights.
I took the next exit, and this young, blond officier came up to me:
"Sir, I pulled you over as you have no plates anywhere".
"Officier, I just got this car from Germany on Saturday, and I'm on my way to DMV to do the paperwork. The German license number is on the wind shield".
"I can see that, I actually just wanted to check out your car. Nice car BTW. Now go get the DMV paperwork done quick."
I exhaled and went on my way. I doubt he would have pulled me over if it was a Camry.
I had more looks and
in the RUF in the last 3 days then I had in my M5 for the last 3 years. It must be that darned tail.

I just joined as member and have yet to master the art of linking pictures. I will ask Pin to show me the way. However, posting many pics here may be discriminating to dial-up users.
But I will learn the trick, and may be post the best shots available in addition to a photo album.
