Another noisy lifter question.
As the weather has got colder this weekend i have noticed a light clicking from the left bank, having searched the forums here it sounds like a "noisy lifter".
The thing is the car drives exactly as before, I cannot immediately get the to be seen by my specialist. I beleive the car is filled with mobil1 0/40.
Will i do any permanent damage if I drive say 500 miles before rectifying this? I have probably done 200 miles so far ?

I am no expert, but I don't think that termperature is related to the problem. Mine happened after I had stopped to refuel after a 30 mile freeway drive.
Safer to have it looked at right away.

I dont know if this situation happened to me only or if this is something that others have found to be true about the lifter noise problem....When I joined Rennlist my lifters seemed to quite down. Its almost as though they were screaming at me to join. Clubsport1 I would try this first before getting the car checked out by a dealer....
